HIGHLANDS AND ISLAND OF SKYE!

12 jours en Ecosse au mois d’octobre 2018, guidé par Patrick Dieudonné comme guide-photographe, en compagnie de 6 autres photographes.
The weather wasn’t always nice, but when the light was on the landscapes were magnificent.

In backpacker mode, we crisscrossed this part of Scotland, the North West Highlands, in search of the best photo spots.
We drove through the Assynt region north of Ullapool, the Torridon Valley and especially the Isle of Skye.
“A good photo must be earned and you have to go get it…." As Patrick Dieudonné likes to repeat.
The weather in Scotland changes quickly. You have to watch the weather forecast so you don't miss a clear break so you can be in the right place at the right time.

In Scotland, water is everywhere. Whether it's rivers, lakes, seaside ... or the one falling from the sky. Better to be covered!
Difficult to take pictures where water is not present.
In this region of mountains, lakes and moors, nature has retained its wild side, and it is not uncommon to come across the famous "Scottish Deer". Finally, another specialty: the castles

As for men (women and men of course), we finally meet quite a few. 8 people per km² in the Highlands. I thought I saw men in kilt. I actually ran into a lot of them
at the airport with their golf equipment (??) and one on the way down from the "Old Man of Stor." Otherwise, some nice human encounters in pubs over a good beer.
Not to mention, the owner of the "Schiehallion b & b", the cottage where we slept for several nights in Portree, who revealed to me her recipe for making scrambled eggs. I must say that I was the only one to ask for fried blood sausage for breakfast again!
