My trip began in Hanoi, which has changed a lot in the last five years. Tourism has developed considerably, and not always for the better. Large cars now largely compete with scooters and small motorbikes. But as the best guide I know, Nguyen The Luong, so aptly put it: "A tourist comes to see what they like, while a traveler likes what they see!" 

It's often overlooked, but Vietnam is a major tea producer. Harvesting is still done by hand, sometimes under very difficult conditions. Occasionally, harvesting is mechanized, but this can negatively impact quality.

In Vietnam, everything seems beautiful. The landscapes are varied and particularly photogenic. Sometimes the best thing to do is simply look and enjoy the spectacle.

Meeting the ethnic groups of northern Vietnam (Hmong, Black Lolo, etc.) means discovering groups with their own traditions and a great cultural richness. These different communities live in harmony with nature and try to preserve their heritage.
