LOFOTEN

A special atmosphere

Exceptional landscapes in a winter atmosphere.

A trendy destination

Lofotens are all the rage: I had never seen so many well-equipped and supervised groups of photographers on my other trips.
We were accommodated in a "rorbur", a wooden construction usually painted red, which was once used as temporary accommodation for fishermen during the fishing season.

An archipelago

The Lofoten Islands are a Norwegian archipelago located north of the polar circle about 3350 km from Paris.
Par avion : Paris-Oslo, puis Oslo-Bodo et enfin Bodo-Svolvaer.
About 25,000 inhabitants live there from fishing and more and more from tourism.
Based in Fredvang, we traveled the southern part of the archipelago with its many small ports (Reine, Hamnoy, A, Ramberg, ...) and its beautiful landscapes.

The Alps by the sea

What is remarkable in the south of Lofoten is this feeling of being in the Alps by the sea.
The climatic conditions are finally very bearable at this latitude, even if the snow and the wind have come to spice up this stay a little.
For the photographer, there is no shortage of subjects: the mountains, the sea, the ports, the boats, the churches… and the northern lights with a little luck.
