Normannia
Visit of the Normannia show on February 16, 2020 at the Zénith in Rouen. .
Organisé par la Fédération Française Médiévale, NORMANNIA est un salon dédié au Moyen-âge et aux mondes fantastiques.
Magnificent costumes, tons of smiles from the artists, artisans, speakers, visitors in costume or not,
to guarantee the unique atmosphere of the event.
My idea
At the beginning I thought I could only take a few pictures taken or "stolen" at random during my wanderings.
Always the apprehension in protests of this type that they will not be able to bring back some interesting photos because of the crowds.
Reality
Finally, I discovered a surprising world where historical reality and fantasy merge, where the costumes of artists and visitors compete in imagination
to create a truly unique atmosphere, all in a friendly spirit.
I walked around and watched a lot before deciding to "call out" to people in costumes and offer to take a picture.
No refusal. On the contrary, they all lent themselves to the game with kindness.
Of course, I took their contact details to send them a copy of the shot.
The technical constraint
In such a manifestation, among the difficulties to be managed there is light. Indeed the light is artificial and changes all the time.
So photos taken with a flash to have constant lighting and settings to try to master the backgrounds.

A little regret: not having had more time to be able to multiply the meetings and the opportunities to take more photos ... I will go back!
